Diane Griffiths

I am essentially a landscape artist although I also paint abstracts, flora and animals. It was during my younger years that I and my teachers noticed that I was able quite easily to put what I see on paper. I studied art throughout my GCSEs and A 'Level's, however turning to a Media and Business undergraduate degree. From there I had to concentrate on my degree studies and didn't continue with my art consistently again until I moved down to London where I started working in the Media Industry.

Now I have my own website and am proud to be featured on Santa Fe ArtWorld, and with several exhibitions lined up within the UK for 2008. I hope to keep expanding and spreading the art!

To briefly mention the image above; "The Autumn Collection", of which "The Evening Autumn" is my favorite piece, demonstrates quintessential England during this season. I am a very visual person; an autumn leaf isn't green, it isn't orange, it isn't red or brown; an autumn leaf has an myriad of rich colors which then create an indescribable scene of beauty. "The Autumn Collection" presents a style which varies slightly from my other paintings, the stippled effect creates the abundance, added to that the strips of light escaping from the sky onto the ground.

Saying that there is beauty in every season wherever you are and no bad time to pick up the paintbrush. I intend to continue painting throughout the year so please keep visiting to get up-to-date with the latest with myself and Santa Fe ArtWorld.
