Think about it, if you could talk to the artist every time you purchased their music, or watched their movie and/orvideo, would you? That would be pretty amazing, wouldn’t it! With Santa Fe ArtWorld, collectors can communicate directly with the artist. Not only are collectors able to view the artist’s available inventory and find out which work is at what gallery, or available through the artist, they can actually get to know about the artist and about their work!

May/June’s FEATURED ARTIST: Virginia Erdie

Due to external circumstances beyond our control, we’re a bit late this month posting the news for May. As such the May news will now be the May/June 2010 news and hopefully things will calm down enough we will be back on track by July.

Quote of the Month

When you combine ignorance and leverage, you get some pretty interesting results. ~Warren Buffett

Thought of the Month

We have had many requests to address subjects other than art in our Thought of the Month, predominately global issues. Regarding both, we would like to consider one of the greatest artistic creations of all time as we know it and that would be the world we live in, from our lives and cultures to the very earth we stand on. We would like to start by examining how each of our individual actions actually shape and create the world gifted to us, if you like, but shared by many.

Whether we offer kindness to another, or to the earth, we build and shape a better world by keeping peace through compassion while keeping our earth healthy. If we offer hate to others eventually we create war whether on a small scale individually, or on one grandly between nations leaving behind much death and destruction. Similarly, when we offer poison to the ground or other toxins to our streams, rivers, and oceans, we create war on the earth and all inhabiting it through pollution which eventually becomes our own starvation, disease, and thirst, or if carefully thought about, our own war on our own existence.

When thinking it doesn’t matter what one does because one is only one person, please keep in mind when the greater whole acts unconsciously, it does matter what one does because we become our own disease to oneself and to one’s earth. If you wish to dispute, ask yourself this: Is one billion, one billion, or is it a billion ones? If one billion picks at a wound, will it ever heal? Many ask, please stop picking on each other and the world through waste.

Upcoming Shows & Events

New Artist:

Charlie Chongr Andrijanoff, a Santa Fe Artist working in acrylics renders works of the metaphysical journey on the road to enlightenment capturing the yin/yang of the challenges faced and the rewards therein. His work is a celebration of the pure essence of being as it becomes one again with the source, leaving yet returning – eternally timeless in all things. With latent imagery comprising the whole, his works are meditative in nature as the imagery continually shifts allowing for a continual flow of motion within each piece. Demonstrating a strong diversity in style, Andrijanoff’s hand is unfailingly recognizable in each genre.
