Santa Fe ArtWorld is an online community which seeks to develop and promote relationships world wide between Galleries, Interior Designers, Architects, Artists, Custom Craftsmen, and Collectors as well as all others utilizing the services of art and various artists for their design and construction purposes.

We at SFAW take extreme pride in providing individual attention to the specific needs of each professional within our community regardless of their expertise; therefore all professional members are represented differently as is suitable to their direct needs.

Santa Fe ArtWorld is not confined to the local market only but is titled as such to make it easily searchable outside of our marketing endeavors. Our collected pool of talent is appreciated the world over.

We do provide links to professionals other than artists. The reason we do not merely link into a fine artist's website is we find our professionals and collectors appreciate our packaging of our fine artists as it makes their search for art easier.

Our various professionals find the WebPages we construct for them an affordable extension of their current representation, while others find a direct link to their website to be suitable. Regardless of packaging, our members find the services of Santa Fe ArtWorld to be of value; not only through the communal efforts we encourage, but also through the information we send out of our members. SFAW does announce news as provided by all our professionals in our newsletters keeping others updated on their current events.

It is our experience that Galleries, Interior Designers, Architects, Artists, Custom Craftsmen, and Collectors are highly dependant upon each other for their success - not only are they reliant upon each other as a further extension of their art, but the support systems which evolve are essential to the completion of any project be it private, commercial or residential. SFAW seeks to further these relationships while making them easily accessible to all.

We invite you to further your community outside of your locale and become a part of a greater highly discriminating world at SFAW.

All members are juried in regardless of profession.

Santa Fe ArtWorld reserves the right to discriminate in selection and representation of talent.

All WebPages are custom and approved by the founders of Santa Fe ArtWorld.

DATE: Feb. 10, 2008 -- Artist Denise Williams response regarding SFAW and the art world.

Hi Patsi,

It's nice to hear from you. You will have to give us some time regarding your impending review. . ., we will however, give you the time you deserve. So please be patient with us. We are so pleased to have your interest!

I must admit there are many advantages to living in an art filled world as you say. Not only is one surrounded and inundated with art, but one is afforded the luxury of developing friendships they otherwise would not have considering the time constraints of professionals in the art world where one minute is worth hours.

Of course most do not have a clue how many hours these people work, nor how valuable their time is, for their jobs are unimaginable to most. Every moment is faceted with a multitude of steps and tasks each leading to a score of others. I remember when I moved here 20 years ago, I was extremely misguided and thought the whole art world was an arena for the spoiled to bask in and I wanted in that perceived play ground. I was so wrong in my initial impression, so clueless it is almost shameful. I do find the years of endless toil and struggle to gain entrance were the best spent of my life and more worthy of any other endeavors I ever embarked upon.

The people I have come to know and have developed relationships with in the art world, I have a deeper respect for them than any others I know and feel greatly appreciative of the time they have given me over the years mostly doled out in a few precious minutes here and there that might as well have been days for the expense was so great to them. Just as well, I am deeply grateful of their tolerance and patience with me as they helped me not only into the art world, but taught me all that I know.

One good favor always deserves another, SFAW is born out of returning to them what they have given to me. We package and present our artists in ways that save them time, expedite their process and allow them comfort in knowing their privacy and confidence is always respected and that their time will never be abused or taken for granted.

Moreover, our environment is not one of chaos strewn together like a convenience store run by a computer program that hosts artists at their personal indiscretion and/or their websites. Rather everything and every artist coming into SFAW is carefully considered for all professional criteria. Just as well our website is custom tailored and painstakingly built suitable and respectful of our professionals' needs to find and view artists. SFAW is professionally packaged in all aspects.

I feel deeply flattered and eternally grateful as recently one of our respected supporters told us, "In the art world of Internet galleries, there is Good Will, Walmart, JC Penneys, and now Guichi; SFAW is Guichi." This past week, another told me she loved what we were doing, finding it saved her much time and felt that we were reshaping the way artists are considered professionally and encouraged us strongly to keep it up. We hear variations of these comments/words of support continuously! Our pleasure comes in knowing that we are returning to those who have given us so much for that is our intent - to return with much deference what is given which we respect and cherish.

Art and all things surrounding it should be beautiful, not only out of respect for the art, but for those who have worked slavishly to put it together and bring it to the world. These professionals deserve an oasis. We do our best to provide that without fail in all aspects. We are a custom tailored intimate site without insult of commercialism which has paid close attention to the needs as well responding to the guidance of the professionals who have brought us up.

Many expect results as quickly as a fast food joint serves a packaged burger, at least you are close enough to Santa Fe, Patsi, to know these expectations are nothing short of false when related to the art world.

I am glad you like my work. I too admire yours.
We will be in touch soon.
Best always,
Denise Williams

DATE: December 1, 2007 -- Artist Richard Scott's commentary regarding Santa Fe ArtWorld.

Carrie,

I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I've been swamped and have several deadlines coming up before Christmas. I have to admit in the beginning that I am biased. Because I'm a juror for the contest and helped brainstorm to found the organization.

However, Santa Fe ArtWorld is a new organization (not even a year old yet). In my previous experience with organizations such as this, they tend to take over two years to really get rolling. But I have seen such stunning progress with SFAW (way ahead of schedule) that I believe there are a lot of great things in store.

But getting down to brass tacks, Denise (the founder) has been instrumental in introducing me to the Santa Fe market, which is actually the second largest art market in the U.S. She has connected me with collectors, other excellent artists, and my presence on the site has lead to national exhibition opportunities from completely random people who just happened to come across my work there.

These things didn't happen over night, and some of them have not solidified and are still on the drawing table. As in every meaningful endeavor, some opportunities bear fruit and some don't, but I do see great opportunities for all involved. What I've learned in New York, is that surviving in the art world is about making strong connections with others of like mind. The greatest success does not come from divisive competition, but from respect, collaboration, and friendship... all of these qualities I find in Santa Fe ArtWorld.

Again, perhaps I'm biased because of my position. But I encourage you to contact other artists on the site with the same question before coming to a decision. I hope you will be joining us.

Warm Regards,
Richard T Scott

Artist Scott Kirkman was kind enough to share a couple of quotes with us which he used on his www.beautifuldrawings.com site. It's always good to have inspiration!

Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant. There is no such thing. Making your unknown known
is the important thing.

Go on working, freely and ferociously. You will make progress. -- Paul Gauguin

"I just looked at my feature info for October. It looks great. I must say I feel honored to be appreciated by other artists. I think you really understand what I do, like no one I met so far. I also looked at the website, and the artists you recruited are amazing. Together we will make a strong circle. This is the best opportunity I have gotten. I hope I can represent SFAW well. "Write" to u soon. Adam. "

Paul Gauguin said he believed that all artists lived with the fear that their last masterpiece would in fact be their last.
