Inspiration to be an artist; where does it come from? Everyone has their own idea and story about what inspired them to art. Mine is simple; maybe too simple: Life. The good happy parts, and the sad broken-hearted pieces.
I believe that my inspiration to work Stained Glass came mainly from the broken moments of my life.
Stained glass work is like picking out, picking up, and putting back together the pieces. Just like we do in our real lives to make it live, move forward, and be enjoyable. When I choose the right glass, cut it correctly and put it together, it comes to life, moves and is enjoyable to me and/or others. Then I have fulfilled my artistic inspirations of always mending life so that one may live to the fullest. When this process is complete, I have lived up to my aspirations in art.
Stained Glass: I feel that life can be easily broken, but it takes a strong heart to piece it back together. When this happens, it is a happy part of life and being an artist is complete.
